FINANCIAL HELP FOR YOUR PET

SAINT Pet Emergency Fund

This fund offers limited financial aid for pet medical emergencies. Grants average around $200 and cover urgent, life-threatening care.

MORE INFO

For assistance: email emergency@bhcsaint.org or call 928-985-0663.

Frankie's Friends - ER Care Grants

The National Frankie’s Friends Fund is a nonprofit grant program that helps family-owned pets who need lifesaving emergency or specialty veterinary care when their owners can’t cover the full cost. It pays grants directly to vets (never to individuals), covering treatments where pets would otherwise suffer, be euthanized, or relinquished. The fund requires a diagnosis, treatment plan, and estimate from a licensed veterinarian with a good prognosis; it won’t reimburse after care is already done, and grants are capped (up to $2,000 per pet/household). Due to high demand and limited funds, not every application is approved.

RedRover - Urgent Care Grants

The RedRover Relief Urgent Care grant program provides financial assistance, resources, and emotional support for pet guardians struggling with economic hardship when pets are in life-threatening situations.

The average grant is around $250, and is intended to fill a small gap in funding that is keeping an animal from care.

Website

Care Credit - Pet Health Credit

CareCredit is a credit card option that lets pet owners spread the cost of veterinary care instead of paying it all up front. It works for both routine and emergency pet services — things like exams, diagnostics, surgeries, specialized treatments, diagnostics, grooming, and even boarding or nutrition.

You must apply and be approved for credit. Once you have the card, you can use it at veterinary providers in the CareCredit network.

Website

Scratchpay - Pet Health Credit

Scratchpay is a payment plan option that helps pet owners manage the cost of veterinary care. Instead of paying the entire bill at once, you can choose a plan that splits payments over time. Approval is quick, applying won’t affect your credit score, and many plans start with low or no interest if paid within the set period. Scratchpay works only with participating veterinary providers, so be sure to confirm your clinic accepts it before applying.

Website

GoFundMe - Pet Crowdfunding

GoFundMe’s Animal Fundraising lets pet owners, shelters, and rescues raise money from the community for vet bills, emergency care, rescue work, or other animal-related needs. You set up a fundraiser, share it (with photos, story, cost details), and people donate. Funds raised are transferred to your bank after you verify your account (often in a few business days). GoFundMe charges a small transaction fee—donations go directly to the cause minus that fee. It’s not guaranteed you’ll reach your goal, so the more transparent and engaging your story, the better your chances of getting help.

Website

Waggle - Pet Crowdfunding

Waggle is a pet-crowdfunding platform that helps pets in crisis get access to urgent veterinary care by letting the public donate to specific pet’s medical campaigns. You fill out the pet’s diagnosis and treatment estimate, share it, and Waggle will review and post the case so people can give. Donations are processed securely, and the vet is paid directly once funding is collected. Waggle also uses recurring gifts to create matching grants — every dollar donated by individuals can be matched, increasing overall impact. Waggle is meant to reduce economic euthanasia by helping owners raise funds quickly when they otherwise couldn’t afford life-saving care.
